Here are answers to some of the questions we are most often asked.....
Cocktail Masterclass
HOW LONG DO YOUR MASTERCLASSES LAST?
Cocktail masterclasses last around two hours. Bespoke length courses can be arranged on request.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT CAN PARTICIPATE, AND THE MAXIMUM?
The minimum number needed for a masterclass to work is 10. There is no maximum we can cater for, space allowing - we just make sure there is one bartender per twenty people attending the class so that everything runs smoothly. Classes over one hundred people can become a little challenging!
CAN I JOIN ANOTHER MASTERCLASS?
All our classes are pre-booked by private groups and therefore it is not possible to join another group.
DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN VENUE WHERE YOU RUN YOUR MASTERCLASSES?
We do not have our own venue, however we do have a list of venues we can recommend for you to contact and with whom we have a working relationship.
CAN YOU RUN A MASTERCLASS IN OUR HOME / OFFICE?
Yes - a mobile cocktail masterclass is our speciality. Our bartenders come complete with all the necessary cocktail making equipment. We can run a masterclass at your home or office and either provide you with a shopping list of ingredients required or provide a full service for you that includes us supplying glassware, ice and cocktail ingredients.
WHAT IF PEOPLE DROP OUT AFTER WE HAVE PAID THE FULL BALANCE?
Unfortunately we cannot refund drop-outs.
DO WE ALL GET TO MAKE COCKTAILS?
Our masterclasses are interactive and all participants get to make and drink three cocktails each. Furthermore, we can give the masterclass a competitive edge including prizes.
CAN WE CHOOSE WHICH COCKTAILS WE MAKE?
You can, however the idea is to teach you different cocktail making techniques and, as such, it's not something that we recommend. Choosing different cocktails may also affect the price of your masterclass if you want us to provide the ingredients, ice and glassware. Please discuss with us your requirements beforehand.
CAN WE OPT FOR NON-ALCOHOLIC COCKTAILS?
Our masterclasses can cater for non-alcoholic cocktails where necessary - just let us know your requirements when booking.
Molecular Masterclass

The minimum number needed for a molecular masterclass to work is four. There is no maximum we can cater for although groups over thirty are a challenge due to the interactive nature of the class.

WE HAVE OUR OWN, BESPOKE IDEA WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO DELIVER - CAN YOU DO THIS?
Of course we can.....we can tailor our service to suit your requirements by changing the content, the cocktails, the class length etc.
CAN YOU RUN A MOLECULAR MASTERCLASS IN OUR OFFICE / HOME?
Our bartenders come complete with all the necessary molecular mixology equipment. We can run a masterclass at your home or office and bring all the necessary equipment and molecular ingredients. We do, however, require access to power and water at the location where the class is taking place.
DO WE ALL GET TO MAKE COCKTAILS?
Our masterclasses are a bit like the chemistry classes you had in school. They're interactive and after a short brief, all participants get to make and taste molecular cocktails.
WHAT IS MOLECULAR MIXOLOGY?
Molecular mixology uses standard cocktail ingredients and adds non-chemical agents in order to alter the appearance of the ingredients. That way you can make cocktails in several shapes or forms such as spaghetti, jellies, foams, caviar pearls, airs, ice cream and even candy floss.
WHAT SORT OF THINGS WILL BE BE MAKING?
You will just have to wait and see......!
DO YOU USE ANY DANGEROUS / HARMFUL SUBSTANCES DURING THE CLASS?
No, we do not. We only use natural, algea-based agents. During the masterlcass we demonstrate the properties of dry ice - this is conducted by the class host who is experienced with using the product. We NEVER under any circumstances add liquid nitrogen to any concoction for the simple reason that it poses a serious health risk should a participant come into contact with it either internally or externally. Liquid nitrogen is used to quickly cool and is not to be used as an ingredient!
WHAT ABOUT NON ALCOHOLIC COCKTAILS?
This is something we are asked on a regular basis - we can provide a non-alcoholic version of each of the molecular cocktail creations we take you through.
