The service, in plain English

What you're actually getting when you book us.

What it is

A complete outdoor bar service for gardens, lawns, terraces and marquees. Mobile bar built on site, refrigeration, ice, glassware, garnish, spritz and cocktail service, uniformed barmen, setup and pack-down.

Who it's for

Hosts running summer birthdays, christenings, graduation parties, engagement drinks, anniversary lunches and end-of-season garden gatherings for 30 to 200 guests.

When you need it

Most garden parties run a 2pm to 8pm afternoon-into-evening service. We arrive two hours ahead to build, chill and test everything before your first guest walks through the gate.

Why it matters

Outdoors is harder than indoors. Warm wine, melted ice, no power, no shade and a lawn that turns into a mud bath are all avoidable with a team who plan for British weather as standard.

The cost of getting this wrong

Why garden parties go wrong at 4pm.

The first hour of a garden party always works. It is hour three, when the ice has gone, the prosecco is warm and there is one extension lead powering everything, that hosts wish they had booked properly.

What happens if you ignore it

  • Ice running out by mid-afternoon in 22°C heat.
  • Warm white wine and prosecco because the fridge was never big enough.
  • One socket powering the fridge, the speaker and the lights, and tripping the whole house.
  • No shelter, so the bar closes the moment the first shower arrives.
  • Bottles, glasses and bins spread across the lawn by the end of the night.

Common mistakes we fix

  • Buying bagged ice on the morning (you need roughly 1kg per guest outdoors).
  • Siting the bar in full sun, so stock warms faster than it can be served.
  • Forgetting glassware, plastic cups instantly downgrade the afternoon.
  • No wet-weather plan and no gazebo booked as a fallback.
  • Placing the bar on soft grass without boarding, which sinks under a full bar.

Our process

A repeatable system, refined over 1,600 events.

  1. 01
    Step 1

    Quick call

Fifteen minutes. Guest count, garden layout, power access, timings and the drinks you want front of house.

  2. 02
    Step 2

    Site plan

Bar position, shade, power draw, wet-weather fallback and guest flow mapped before we quote.

  3. 03
    Step 3

    Proposal

A flat-rate, itemised quote: bar, stock, ice, glassware, barmen, delivery and pack-down.

  4. 04
    Step 4

    Party day

Team arrives two hours early, builds the bar, boards the ground if needed, chills stock and opens on time.

  5. 05
    Step 5

    Pack-down

Bar removed, glassware washed, bins cleared, lawn left tidy. Unopened stock bought back at cost.

What you actually get

Concrete outcomes, not promises.

Real outdoor refrigeration

Proper chilled storage on site, so wine, beer and fizz stay cold from the first pour to the last.

Ice modelled properly

Roughly 1kg per guest in summer heat, delivered and stored insulated so it lasts the full service.

Power planned in advance

We calculate load, bring cabling and, where needed, a silent generator so nothing trips your house.

Wet-weather plan included

Covered bars, gazebos and stretch tents available. British summers get planned for, not hoped about.

Spritz and draught stations

Aperol and Hugo spritz on arrival, draught beer and cider on tap, cocktails for the evening turn.

Lawn left immaculate

Boarding under heavy kit, all glass collected, bins emptied. Your garden is yours again before we go.

The detail

Everything underneath the surface.

Garden parties are logistics disguised as leisure. This is what we plan around so the afternoon feels effortless from your side of the bar.

Garden formats we run

There is a template for every kind of summer party.

  • Summer birthdays and milestone celebrations on the lawn.
  • Christenings, naming days and family lunches.
  • Graduation and end-of-term parties.
  • Engagement drinks and pre-wedding garden receptions.
  • Neighbourhood and street parties across several gardens.
  • Corporate summer socials at private homes and country venues.

Drinks planning for daytime service

Outdoor daytime drinking is lighter and faster than an evening bar. Allow 0.7 bottles of fizz per guest for a 90-minute reception, two pints per beer drinker across an afternoon, and a full jug of low-ABV punch per twelve guests.

Bar styles for gardens

Rustic timber and pallet bars for relaxed lawns, mirrored or LED bars for evening glamour, and mobile draught bars where cold beer matters most. Every style can be dressed with florals or foliage.

Power, water and ground

We work from a single 13amp domestic socket where possible, bring our own cabling and RCDs, and board soft ground under the bar so nothing sinks or scars the lawn.

Licensing for garden parties

Drinks gifted to invited guests need no licence. If you are selling drinks, a Temporary Event Notice is required and we can apply on your behalf for £50.

Coverage

Liverpool, Manchester, London, Wirral, Cheshire, Chester, Preston, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Altrincham as standard, with destination parties in North Wales, the Lakes and Yorkshire delivered regularly.

How much does garden party bar hire cost?

+

Mobile bar packages are priced from £120, no VAT. A typical 60-guest garden party with a mobile bar, two barmen, full stock, glassware and ice starts from £1,400. Every quote is built bespoke to your guest count, venue and date.

Do you need power in the garden?

+

A single domestic socket is usually enough. Where there is none, or the load is high, we bring a silent generator.

What happens if it rains?

+

We plan a wet-weather fallback with you at the site-plan stage. Covered bars, gazebos and stretch tents can all be added to your booking.

Will the bar damage my lawn?

+

No. Heavy kit sits on boarding, and we route trolleys along hard standing wherever possible. We check the lawn with you before we leave.

How much ice do I need for an outdoor party?

+

Roughly 1kg per guest in summer heat, which is far more than most hosts expect. We supply and store it insulated as part of the package.

Can you serve draught beer outdoors?

+

Yes. Our mobile draught bars and glycol-cooled beer systems are built for outdoor service and keep beer at 4°C all afternoon.

Do you clean up afterwards?

+

Yes. Glassware washed, bins emptied, bottles removed and the garden left tidy before we leave.

How far in advance should I book a summer party?

+

Peak Saturdays from May to September book six to ten weeks out. Weeknights and shoulder-season dates often have availability at two to three weeks' notice.
